About Me:

I am interested in social media, blogging, seo, graphic design, web design and application of technologies, peace, politics, green & clean, climate change, business, networking, podcasting, conservation, guitar, painting, music, cycling, snowboarding, great food, wine and travel (not necessarily in that order).

I am the CEO and founder of HelloSocialMedia.com, a social-media marketing agency that focuses on the creation and execution of social media strategies, including blogging, social applications and community development.

I help businesses, organizations and individuals integrate social media into their marketing, branding and PR efforts to help them create more awareness and buzz, generate leads, increase ROI and have a positive impact on the bottom line.

Additionally, I serve as the vice president of marketing for Greenwala.com, directing the brand development, community building and strategic partnerships to further the company’s mission. I believe social networking is a powerful tool to create community and encourage stewardship of the environment.

Prior to Hellosocialmedia.com I co-founded WunderMarx|PR™, a social media, branding and public relations agency. WunderMarx|PR was one of the first independent agencies in Orange County to add podcasting and blogging to its list of services and dovetail social media marketing strategies with mainstream media strategies for its roster of technology, advocacy and nonprofit clients.

Additionally, I created and launched dezumo.com in 2007. I am assuming you know that because you are here reading this...

Before launching WunderMarx|PR, I directed brand management, Web, creative and communications at two publicly traded semiconductor companies. During this time I gained amassed in-depth experience with corporate spin offs, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, internal communications, branding, corporate marketing, technical writing, and Web site strategy, marketing and management.

I moved from Oregon to California in 1993.

I am also an active networker and have served as the president of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Orange County as well as the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Orange County chapter. I currently am on the board of the Orange County Ad Federation.

I believe that corporate social responsibility is an important component to running a successful business and am a supporter of local charity groups, including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Friendship Shelter and the YMCA Community Services Branch, Laura's House, Mercy House to name a few.

I have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Oregon State University, and completed a business certificate program at University California Irvine in 2001.
